New Entertainment Company Dedicated To Jazz Bassist Chubby Jackson

Statement from Jaijai Jackson, daughter of jazz bassist, bandleader, television personality and inventor of the five string bass, Chubby Jackson and President of Five String Productions:

It is my joy to launch a company dedicated to one of the greatest fathers a child could have! My father was an avid believer in being an originator and not an imitator. He always displayed humor in his performances, and brought his incredible musical talent to the forefront with such ease and excitement. I remember as a little girl watching him conduct his big bands and play his bass with an infectious energy and inspiring the musicians with his jovial cheerleading abilities. I marvel in these memories. It is because of my love and admiration for my father and his accomplishments in jazz and television that Five String Productions has been created.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Five String Productions is to keep jazz alive through all forms of media, presentation, and worldwide radio promotion.

FIVE KEY AREAS OF BUSINESS

Our five key areas of business are: Education, Event Coordination, Staging and Video Production, Entertainment Direction and worldwide radio promotion of new jazz artists through Jaijai's "Woman of Jazz" radio show at www.womanofjazz.com.

MUSIC EDUCATION

A strong knowledge and understanding of our jazz forefathers is the key to the success of jazz students today. Five String is committed to involving students of all ages across the country in our outreach endeavors by bringing great jazz players to students for clinics and community concerts. Five String has become the muscial arm to the National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) and plans on producing wonderful educational performances.

INTEGRATING MUSICAL STYLES

Five String will present concerts that will incorporate celebrity artists of all styles of music integrated with the American art form of jazz, ie. rhythm and blues, funk and gospel. Well established composers and arrangers will be commissioned to compose musical charts encompassing all styles using jazz as its foundation. Our quest is to prove that when musical styles are combined in performance, it will be demonstrated that music is truly a universal language.

	RADIO PROMOTION FOR NEW JAZZ ARTISTS Jackson's strategy is "Jazzfomercials", whereas she takes a personal interest in learning about the artistry, musical background and influences of the artist she showcases. Jaijai's audience ranges from the jazz aficionado to the new listerner of jazz. "I make sure that whomever I spotlight has had musical experience, training and has a viable product to sell". She personally works with each artist assuring the maximum level of marketing exposure and benefits by their experience on the "Woman of Jazz" show globally.
BURNLOUNGE Jackson prides her work on finding independent business resources to support the needs of the independent artist she discovers. Jackson's recent excitement is the genius of the creators of a new musical revolution, a company called Burn Lounge. "Burn Lounge gives the independent artist a chance to have their own retail store and offers a substantial percentage of the sale in return of their music" says Jaijai. Outside of promoting artists on her own station and presenting shows by seasoned veterans in the entertainment industry and business world, she has structured a "Burnlounge Crowd" radio show for new artists to tune into so they can learn all the current tools they need to support their Burnlounge businesses. Jaijai plans on testing the waters herself by utilizing the Burnlounge platform having the "Woman of Jazz" song distributed on her retail store featuring well known jazz artists.
